Then the chance to stay in a resort on the water’s edge, without sacrificing the comfort of top-notch hospitality. Just think of the magic of  breakfast on the deck of a yacht, when the sun begins to rise in the sky and warm the morning air. The perfect start to a day exploring Sorrento, the Coast and the Islands.

Two days in Sorrento: in search of the town and the coast

Any day of the year is perfect for visiting the Sorrentine coast.

In just a few minutes you can leave the Marina Piccola and find yourself immersed in the atmosphere of the village of Sorrento: a cheerful and hospitable town, ready to welcome tourists with its sun and entertainment.

An essential stop is at the Marina Grande, a fishing village that is accessed via a long stone staircase. This village has entered the history of cinema thanks to the film “Pane, amore e……” with Vittorio De Sica and Sofia Loren.

Here you will find the characteristic shops and small restaurants where you can discover the treasures of Sorrento’s gastronomy. In pole position there is the ‘gnocchi alla sorrentina’, and not to be missed also the classic ‘polpo in casseruola’, or octopus stew. As well as all the lemon-based desserts, there are specialities of the area, such as the ‘baba al limoncello’ and ‘la delizia al limone’.

A must see is Piazza Tasso, very close to the touristic port, representing the beating heart of the city. So stopping for a coffee or aperitif is essential in enjoying it’s slow rhythm from the sidelines. Furthermore, from this square you can admire one of Sorrento’s particularities: il Vallone dei Mulini, or the Valley of the Mills, originating from the most violent volcanic eruption of the Phlegraean Fields and the streams that over time have modified the plinth into tuff. The name comes from the ruins of a mill that until the early twentieth century was still active in the grinding of wheat.

And there is no better way to discover the Sorrento Peninsula than by sea, choosing a tour that circumnavigates the headland, thus allowing you to enjoy the landscape and stop in the most beautiful coves.

Stay moored in Marina Piccola Sorrento

At the end of a day at sea, there is nothing better than relaxing on the deck of a boat, enjoying the spectacle of the sun setting over the Gulf of Naples. The sound of the sea is the perfect soundtrack for a romantic dinner on board, illuminated by candles and starlight. Just another of the many emotions evoked by a Bed&Boat stay on a moored boat; In conclusion, a new choice in holidays, giving you a unique and unforgettable experience.
